- Welcome! Thank you for visiting my blog. I am a USMC wife married to a wonderful man for fourteen years. He's a CH-53E pilot and has done three fleet tours overseas. I am very proud of him and his hard work. For many years I worked in retail jewelry sales and finally decided it was time to stop and enjoy my decorating passion. I know this holiday can be hard for the first time since a loved one has passed.We lost my husbands dad 3 yrs ago at Thanksgiving. I will be praying for you and your family. May God bless and take care of you this day that we give Thanks. Cindy

Melissa~I'm strolling in to catch up and especially to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
It's such a wonderful time to stop and reflect on all those we cherish and are truly grateful for.
Even though our Thanksgiving is very small in number, with hubby and son (we don't count the cat cause she doesn't like turkey). We don't scrimp on the menu...from appetizers to desserts! We will being enjoying tryptophan playoffs!

Melissa! Hi - I realize this holiday will be wonderful, but different and a little painful because of the loss of your mother. I understand fully because that's the way it will be for me too. Remember I lost my mother, brother and husband this year, so we will both need to be brave and expect the Lord to help us through. We know our loved ones are in heaven with Jesus and that is a wonderful thing.
We'll appreciate the family and friends that we still have here - thank you Lord for helping Melissa and me make it through, to be blessed on this Thanksgiving Day and to be a blessing...

Just stopping by to say hello and see how ya'lls Thanksgiving was? I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day! We ended up celebrating on Friday...waiting for the kids to get here! It was wonderful and we all had a great time together!!!
Oooh...I can just see you now! I know that you are busy with decorating your fabulous home! Can't wait to see it in all of its Christmas finery!!! I have just started...got most of the living room done but now I'm out of energy! Hehe! Seriously! You won't believe it but I fell last Sunday...I felt so stupid. We had stopped to eat at Subways and I missed a step and fell on the concrete. I really skinned up my knees and hands but the worst part is that I'm sore all over from just tensing up, I guess! Soooo...I'm not moving too fast! I'm okay...just stiff!
I just posted my Christmas decorations for my fireplace mantel! Come by when you get a chance!
